Treatments at Smile Aesthetics by Durban Dental Care
Composite veneers
Change the colour, shape and size of your front teeth with thin layers of tooth-coloured composite, shaped by hand on your teeth.
Composite bonding
Repair a chipped, worn or uneven front tooth, or close a small gap, with tooth-coloured composite, usually in one visit.
Teeth whitening
Lighten the natural shade of your teeth in about an hour in the chair, with your teeth and gums checked first.
Composite smile makeover
Whitening, composite veneers and bonding planned together to change the colour, shape and size of your front teeth.
Gold tooth removal
Swap a gold or silver cap for a tooth-coloured one, rebuilt in composite to match the teeth beside it.
What tooth-coloured composite can change
Composite is a tooth-coloured resin, shaped by hand directly on your teeth with no moulds and no laboratory. It can:
- lighten or even out the colour of your front teeth
- change the shape or size of a short, worn or narrow tooth
- repair chips and worn edges
- close small gaps between straight teeth
Composite does not move teeth, so it suits teeth that are already fairly straight.
How your appointment works
-
Step 1: Book a time
Send us a WhatsApp with the treatment you'd like and a day or evening that suits you, and we confirm a time.
-
Step 2: Consultation
We look at your teeth and gums, ask what you'd like to change and talk you through the treatment that suits you. Any decay or gum problems are treated first.
-
Step 3: Treatment
Composite veneers and bonding are layered on, shaped and polished, usually in one visit. Whitening takes about an hour in the chair.
-
Step 4: Aftercare
Keep up your check-ups and cleaning at Durban Dental Care, and we polish or repair your composite when it needs it.
Why patients book their cosmetic treatment here
Composite is added to the surface of your teeth, so most need little or no drilling and your own tooth stays largely as it was underneath.
You choose the shade with us: one that matches your own teeth, or a lighter one. If you'd like whiter teeth overall, we whiten first and match the composite to your new shade, because whitening gel doesn't change the colour of composite.
