Medical aid and your dental treatment
We accept medical aid, and we're on Discovery's FlexiCare dental network.

How your scheme pays
Your scheme pays its own rate for each treatment, up to your plan's limit for the year. If that rate is lower than our fee, or your dental benefits have run out, you pay the difference.

What to check with your plan
Scheme rules change every January, so go by this year's plan.
Check-ups and cleaning
Ask which benefit pays for check-ups, X-rays and cleaning, and how many visits a year it covers.
Teeth cleaning: Check-ups and cleaningFillings and extractions
Ask whether they are paid from your dental benefits, your day-to-day benefits or your savings.
Tooth-coloured fillings: Fillings and extractionsGold tooth removal
Some scheme rules exclude gold inlays. If the gold is coming off because of decay or pain under it, ask how your scheme treats the claim.

Medical aid questions
Yes, payment is due at the time of treatment, unless we've agreed on something else beforehand.
Usually not. Schemes tend to exclude composite veneers, whitening and other cosmetic work. Repair after an injury may be treated differently, so check with your scheme.
